Open Hearts

Today's blog post honors TC-Cancer forum moderator Bill Moses. Bill's family recently celebrated the five-year anniversary of his son Jason's diagnosis with and successful treatment for stage III testicular cancer. An experience like that has long-lasting effects.

One of those effects is, as Bill has said: "My heart was broken, but in that process of breaking it was opened."

Bill put himself to work again yesterday, demonstrating his big heart with a 145-mile bike ride in the Five Borough Bicycle Club Montauk Century to honor Jerry Bruce, who passed away on April 5, 2009.

Bill leads the way. With open hearts, and in admiration and solidarity, we stand with him to remember those we've lost to cancer.
