My husband is 2 months post RPLND surgery and had is follow-up with his doctor last week. Tumor markers are still normal and CT scan was good. I was a little confused at first since the report noted that the lymph nodes were still enlarged since prior exam. I assumed they were all taken out from surgery on the effective side. I sent an email to Dr. Einhorn and he reassured us that it was normal for these lymph nodes will remain stable from years to come and they are not connected to the testicle. The nodules in the lungs are decreasing in size.
I am so happy!!!!! I can breathe!!! It has been an up and down journey. Next check up will be in 3 months with just a chest x-ray only since he did not need anymore CT scans.
He return to work three weeks ago. It has not been easy, he works as a restruarnt manager and being on his feet alot. The neuropathy in his feet bother him alot. But he is cancer free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
