Clear so Far!

3 Months gone. Got my all clear so far today from the oncologist! Had the CT this month and all is good.

Month #4 says all clear.

The oncologist says he will see me in two months this time and repeat a CT at that time.

My last ct showed an adrenal adenoma, that wasn't mentioned in the 1st ct. I asked the onc. to talk to the radiologist to see if it was present in the first scan, but he doesn't seem to want to do that as it says unchanged in the report. I called the radiologist's office and the staff won't put me through to him and say I have to go through my doctor, so I guess I will have to try this through my GP. I know it is probably nothing, but in the face of everything else I would like to know the facts about this. Is this asking too much?

Anyway, markers were all good yesterday and that is the main thing, and nothing else shows up physically so onward and upward!

Congratulations on the all clear!

I switched urologists/oncologists after completing chemo do to insurance coverage issues. The second doctor mentioned seeing something on the last C/T scan I had at the behest of my previous urologist. It showed up on my C/T scan that he (the new doctor) ordered as well, though it had not changed in size. While the nodule was only 6mm, the second doctor sat down and talked it over with me because, in his words, it was probably nothing, and will probably remain nothing, but he felt I should know about it and have the opportunity to ask questions about it. He even called in a consult to confirm that it was nothing.

Never hesitate to get all of your questions answered. You're your biggest advocate. And if you're like me, the guy you're advocating is a real bear when he doesn't feel he's getting all the information...:)
