Sorry if I'm spamming, but I'm hoping someone somewhere can give me a clue.
Hmm, what's that percentage if you have a teratoma?
After my first CT scan 3 months after chemotreatment, they found a 3cm lymph node, in my leg/groin (yes, I know, unusual, blame butcher #1, or butcher #2...#3 had nothing to do with it, at least)...it was there before treatment started, about 1" below the I/O scar, but very deep (I can't feel it, although I can feel a slightly swollen lymph node above it).
So, naturally, they're gonna want to take it out, and I've been referred to butcher #4, a specialist in New Orleans, 50 miles away. Doubtless he'll assure me it's an easy operation (much as the previous three who operated on the same spot, through the same incision, at least, with assurances that the chance of needing to do so again were very little). I'm under the impression I'll have leg swelling for what remains of my life, but I am kinda curious of the extent.
Anyone out there with experience getting leg/groin lymph nodes removed? It's not the same as an RPLND (mercifully), but I would like to have a clue from someone who's had something similar.
Thanks,
Rick
