I am a 37 year old survivor of TC [non-seminomatous choriocarcinoma] - 3 years out from experimental treatment at Sloan-Kettering in NY involving high-dose chemotherapy and stem cell transplants x 3. Had RPLND and lung surgery after chemo. After my battle, my wife and I started a not-for-profit foundation http://www.cdtfoundation.org to raise money for research, raise public awareness and assist patients emotionally and financially in fighting their disease. To date, we have raised over $250,000 - $100,000 which has directly gone to research programs. We are currently looking to recruit survivors in the metroplitan NY area (NY, NJ and CT) to assist us in outreach efforts, mentoring programs and to generally increase the reach of our organization. We are a small group of individuals, all of whom volunteer their time and this is a great opportunity to really make a difference. If you are interested, please visit our website and drop us an email. There are no gimmicks, no solicitations - just a desire to give back and help a fellow TC patient in need.
