I'm wondering how to recognize when back pain is coming from englarged things in your abdomen and when from some "office" back pain for example ?
I'm having it for almost 2 weeks now but it feels better after massage or swimming... I suppose this can exclude other (TC) reasons. Or anybody has differend experiances with this ?

Regards,
Alex

alright krokar how you doing?

i was diagnosed last july with non-seminoma. had a 10x4x4 mass in lower left abdomen. i remember last march, eating and drinking too much one day then falling asleep on my sofa. when i woke up my back was really hurting. i thought it was because i had been lying down at some funny angle but the pain just wouldn't go away. massage helped but the pain would return. it just felt like constant back ache - something muscular or maybe mild sciatica.

around the end of march though i could feel a mass down there and also had stomach aches. the only reason it only got diagnosed in july was that with the crap uk nhs, it took me 2 months to get an ultrasound - after the receptionists at the hospital lost the doctor's orders twice!!! by the time i was diagnosed, i had the abdominal mass and multiple nodules in both lungs!!

4 x BEP, 1 inguinal orchiectomy, 1 rplnd and countless needlesticks later, i am in remission!!

so the moral of my story is, don't wait around, pay for a scan if you think there's anything wrong.

all the best
