View Full Version : Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
Happy Hanukah / Kwanza / Christmas / Festivus :)
A big thanks goes out to each 'moderator' and to everyone one else who takes the time to offer insight, advice and humor! I, for one, appreciate it very much.
Happy New Year and here's to a healthier 2006 and beyond!
All the best!
I echo the sentiment.
And for everyone in the "TC family" may 2006 bring continued or renewed health and happiness.

Happy Holidays everyone. Nancy and I are off to Cape Cod, I'm going swimming with a friend (yes in the ocean) and Nancy plans on having our cell phone at the ready to call the local EMT's. If I can I will check in.
Wow Dadmo!! I just got the chills just thinking about swimming in this weather! yikes. I'm sure it will be fun though.
Happy Holidays everyone.
Nancy and I are off to Cape Cod, I'm going swimming with a friend (yes in the ocean)...AAAAHHHH!!! Don't stay in long!
I certainly don't envy you diving in the cold water( I have done my share) but Cade Cod at christmas does sound real nice Dadmo!!!!!
Happy Holidays and a healthy New Year to all of our extended family here at TC-Cancer.com!!!!! To those who are in treatment or awaiting surgery---the end is near and you will soon be cured--stay stong and stay positive!!!!
Don:
I was scheduled to go to scuba school when I was in the army but Viet-Nam changed those plans. Where and when did you dive? My father was stationed at pearl harbor when it was bombed and he was dropped in the water as part of a UDT team to search for some two man subs that were in the area. My family is almost all navy except for me. I don't quite know what was wrong with the rest of them.
I was stationed in Coranado, California for 2.5 years with Pacific fleet and served the rest of my term in Little Creek ,Virginia with the Atlantic--Dove up and down both coast ,Persian Gulf, Medditeranian Sea etc.-- Still favor the Dry Tarrtugua,s in the FL Keys-- If you haven't had a chance to dive there then I would suggest adding it to your "to do" list in the future-- You and Nancy would really enjoy yourselves!!!!!!!! Have a great time!!!!! DON :)
PS---I guess the rest of your family wanted to serve with the superior branch of the armed forces--none the less were all brother(and sisters) in arms!! :D

Thanks to all the mods for this great forum! With the help of the forum and it's members, it helped me get through what had to be the hardest year of my life thus far. this holiday season is a special one..and i think every one thereafter!
PS.Hey Dadmo, i went to Hawaii and visited Pearl Harbor...amazing to see the Arizona still sitting in water leaking that oil...truly a sight. I'm so proud to be an American and to visit that site of history.
To everyone here-- Merry Christmas and Happy, HEALTHY New Year! From the bottom of our hearts, we wish you all nothing but happiness and peace in the coming year.........

4) Get something done with my knees.
From everything I have read Leukemia caused by the chemo is the most likely problem Jason and all other long term survivors will face I will
1) Work with the Leukemia foundation to raise funds for there research.
2) Become a volunteer bone marrow donor (Done two weeks ago)
General
1) Give more then I receive
2) Take Yoga class with Nancy on Friday nights. She hasn’t relaxed since the day Jason was diagnosed.
3) Convince Nancy that she should forgive herself for being upset with family and friends who abandoned her when she needed them the most.
I have only one wish for the New Year and I have no power to effect the outcome.
1) I wish Jason could find his lemonade.
