Saw my urologist this morning and CT scan came back Negative :D :D .

The cancer was confined to my left testicle (pure embryonal carcinoma, T2 tumor), but with some vascular penetration.

I see an oncologist next week to determine options. Will most likely go with Chemo, so I can cut the chances of reoccurrence.

Thanks for the support everyone.

Steve

Remember that embryonal carcinoma can skip the lymph nodes and go directly to the lungs. Make sure they take shots of your lungs. Keep us posted about your treatment.

What about your tumor markers (blood work - HcG, etc)?

I would have gone with the chemo right away if I had the chance (waited for tumors in my lungs!). Embryonal likes to travel through the blood, so it can be tricky, you may save treatment time if you "nip it in the bud" and get at the chemo ASAP. All the best and prayers, too.

Tumor markers were low to normal, pre-surgery. They did do a full chest and lower abdomen ct scan, so I assume they got the lungs. I will ask make sure to ask my oncologist about this.

Thanks,

Steve

Good news
I went with the surveillance route but each person has to sit down and see what is right for them. It does get on your nerves a little going in each month but it was the choice for me for now.
Good Luck

Hopefully, they'll just do X-rays of your lungs. Lung CTs are often too sensitive and show benign spots. It will also save you from excess radiation.
