My handle and that other thread just creates stress for everyone. I'll let you all know what I find out when I find out.

Moved from my infamous thread:
I just saw this thread show up and mildly freaked. Then I realized it wasn't me initiating it, so why am I freaking? Now I know what I did to you guys. Lets retire THIS (thread) M@th&~ F~c%@r once and for all. I'll put the news somewhere that's appropriate when I find out.
Love you All,

I'm not sure what I missed or maybe it has just blended. My boys used to try to gross me out when they were young and I had to share that after years in the ER, it just wouldn't work. Riding the emotional waves!!! None the less, steps in new directions are always adventures and as the counselor that I have been seeing talks about, climbing out of the abyss can take some work. Mark...hope it is sunshine that you are seeing, I certainly understand the tumble down to the ddep darks. It is not in vain. Your own experience has helped me to feel understood at some of my weakest moments, even though the light gets dim, the love held strong. Love you no matter where you are!!! Lovestrong, Sharon
PS Danny, love you where ever you are too!!

:o Has anyone had any problems with umm barium bloat? :o I think my intestines are a bit more sensitive these days. This last barium regimen has just about doubled me over. You could probably strap a basket to me and take a balloon ride right now. Gonna go see if a simethicone helps. Suggestions are really appreciated. :o

Mark,

I never know what kind of reaction I'm going to get. Sometimes there's no problem, other times I get really nauseated. 2 scans ago, I thought I was going to throw up in the exam room.

Unfortunately I don't have any suggestions. I seem to do better if I go first thing in the AM.

Hope you feel better soon and that the scans are CLEAR!

Sending good vibes your way,

Discussed October's results with the PET technician without getting into particulars. The PET Physicist was also there. They had a discussion outside the "quiet" room. I went in and had my PET. The Tech walked me out. I never mentioned what exactly I was concerned about, but she knew. In a very sincere manner, she told me she thinks all is OK. One act of kindness well appreciated. We'll see if Harry Potter feels the same way on Friday. I gotta tell you, I'm Dog tired, and every other Month I develop a significant case of A.D.D.

So verticle climbing creates a concern when night falls. They rope up, create a porta-ledge, crawl into a warm down bag and wait for the light of morning. I just checked my calendar and I had forgotten that Monday is my PET scan, so of course I planned working in the garden and doing a long bicycle ride this Weekend (keeping in mind I need to be a bit careful about my back now, sigh). I guess it's a couch potato Weekend for me. My Son can be the Weekend Farmer this Weekend. Today's workout has changed to strictly above tha waist as well. So barring any positives from the PET, and anything showing up on the CT next Friday (which it shouldn't since the MRI didn't see any weeds), I should be able to celebrate one year as N.E.D. (No Evidence of Disease). Fingers crossed.

You might want to tone it down with the upper body workout, as well. In fact, I would forgo any workout until after the PET. The last thing you need is a false positive due to something that could have been avoided.

Then again, I'm sure you'll do great and I'll be having some tequila for you on Monday (it's Cinco de Mayo, after all :D).

Sometimes I ride with my son on a raft down the river. Floating along, my thoughts wander off into the trees and mountains along the shore. Cool breezes, birds, beautiful colors and then the slight but instinctual sound of water over rocks in front of us. Attention changes, body responds, the world changes to rapid focus and then.....the backward glance. Humbling, powerful and participant all come to mind. Lovestrong, Sharon

Got the CT done this morning. If you ever want an interesting experience, schedule a scan on a day you don't have any power in your house for 2 days. Sorry to get gross, but it's a good thing I have a pool in back so I can flush the toilets, otherwise it would have been a scene from Dumb and Dumber. I usually work from home after my scans (the barium still does it's magic on me), but since I have no power or water, I came into work. My first phone message was radiology asking me to call an 866 number right away and ask for a Nurse. Panic!!!!!!! Then I find it's the nurse doing her phone prep for Monday's PET scan. Gotta love these check-ups - NOT.

Mark,

I think you may have mistakenly given your docs my email address, as the attached just came to me marked as your latest test results. While I am glad for the "all clear", I have to admit, I am a bit saddened to find out that you're actually some sort of pterodactyl

Best wishes, amigo.

Mark - I've read posts about testicles, masturbation, erections, sex drive, etc and nothing quite made me cringe as much until I momentarily thought of you ****** in the pool.

But then I realized that you probably just carried pool water into the house and now I can breath a lot better. Plus, if you ever host a family gathering I will feel a lot more comfortable coming to your house.

I can assure you I neither pee in pools nor swim in toilets. I don't make mookies in the swimming hole either. Although, it can be fun tossing a tootsie roll in every now and then just to get a reaction. I was trying to think of something fun to do if I host another FFF, maybe something like mud wrestling, or better yet spaghetti wrestling. We could throw in some meatballs so as to keep the general theme.
Much Love,
Mark

I'd like to think I've seen or heard of pretty much of everything. But spaghetti wrestling? I have even more respect for you now, Mark. And I thought you couldn't top the shoulder comment.

Good luck, fingers crossed, prayers, and lots of love. I'll be on the lookout for your results.

There is a sign by the pool at our highschool, it reads...

OOL ... notice the "P" is missing. Please keep it that way.

Friday it is!! We have done this before. Last night as I watched the elections, a memory of our trip to the east coast surfaced. As we visited the church next to the 911 site, there was a pew in the old church that George Washington used while he was in New York. During the 911 rescue, the pew was used to aid rescuers who had problems with their feet due to the 16 20 hour days, injuries etc. They used that pew in honor of George Washington's army, with the knowing that they finished their war for freedom barefoot in the snow. Willing to reach the edge for freedom, for their families, self, other's and for those who follow. With the obvious mood that follows an election day, my thoughts float around. We are those people, we are also walking barefoot in the snow so to speak. Wounded, depleted, yet filled with the energy to be there, step forward, , find a way, remember and be a part of new thought, carrying a memory and the ideas to keep the light shining. With you, LOVEstrong, Sharon
