Hey guys, there were some small complications with my second cycle that just delayed it a bit, I went in as a precaution two days before the start of the cycle as my mouth was heavily swollen to the point i couldnt eat, and i was midly neutropenic before so I was bought in. Turned out i had got very neutropenic and had to delay two days for it it to return to an acceptable level to start the cycle. Fortunately I avoided an infection during this period and I am now back home with just two injections to go.

On a slightly lighter note, I do a bit of modelling (obviously not at the moment) so my hair does play a part in my life to some extent, I was just wondering if people found hair grew back normally if they clean shaved it all off or just left it to its own devices, obviously a change in hair is a small price to pay for being cured from the cancer, but it would be nice if it came back the way it was before lol. Any other tips on hair re-growth? And i have heard it takes about 6 weeks to start coming back?

Hiya.

When my hair returned, it was just as it had been previously. It came through thick and black straight away (as before), not blond and wispy or anything like that. This is what it looked like in April 2002, about six weeks after my last chemo:

...as you can see, dark and thick, but still receding as before!

I shaved my remaining hair when it started to fall out.

The reaction to BEP and ensuing regrowth of hair can differ from one person to the next. I have seen some claim that it grew back thicker and wavy, and others like Nick who have had it come back as before. Either way, it will come back.
