CBC is general bloodwork to assess your overall organ function. This does not test for any TC markers. Dark urine, bacteria in urine can mean a urinary tract infection or a kidney infection. These things would give you symptoms and make you feel pretty lousy but are easily cured with antibiotics. You need bloodwork for AFP, LDH and HCG specifically if you are looking for TC markers. You also need to see a specialist, not an ER doc or nurses, to examine you. You need a proper work up. It sounds like you have literally worried yourself sick and that does absolutely no good. Ask your parents to make an appointment for you with a specialist and try to stop obsessing.

So I went back to the hospital and explained the symptoms, abdominal pain, constipation (I had this forever and they said to buy those powder laxative things), sore throat, kinda coughing, etc. They said its probably an infection or virus thing and if it doesn't go away, they will do an ultrasound or something. Around 2 days ago when I went like 2 doctors did a psychical exam, pressed on my stomach area, checked for swelling in the testicles, chext x-ray, etc. They all said everything looked good and yesterday another nurse did a physical again. They checked my pulse and blood pressure and said it was lower than yesterday, they did the urine thing again and they said it was concentrated and had like protein in it, so the doctors told me to see if all the symptoms and stuff get better in about a week, if they don't then I have to go back and they will do an ultrasound.

Also my appetite is kinda better now.. all these symptoms are probably because of stress or I may be getting sick.

Sounds more like a UTI to me. I would want to be seen by a urologist.

Hey guys.. so the week after the hospital I was feeling good and my appetite came back, didn't really have pains and stuff. But now this week i'm still worrying I have TC, going to try and tell my dad to get me back to the ER for ultrasounds. I'm just worried now that its a teratoma and it won't be picked up by the ultrasound, is it possible it could be a teratoma and not be picked up by it?

I'm recently diagnosed with TC and had to go the ER after two initial mis-diagnoses saying I had an infection. They need to do an ultrasound on you. Best of luck!

It picked up my husband's tetartoma just fine.

I think you just need to have the scrotal ultrasound if for no other reason to give you peace of mind. There is no reason the ultrasound would not pick up a teratoma. I kind of agree that stopping looking around online and getting the ultrasound is the way I would go from an anxiety perspective.

If the doctors did an abdominal ultrasound or something would TC be picked up on it? Like instead of doing the scrotal ultrasound, would it be possible to have an abdominal one?

It's not cause i'm worried about the doctors seeing my testicles.. they just said I didn't need to have a scrotal ultrasound.

I'm gonna try and go to the ER tomorrow for an ultrasound.. if the ultrasound comes up clear, can it be possible they misdiagnosed it?

The reason i'm wondering is because i've heard about people getting misdiagnosed for it and because the hospital that I go to.. is kinda bad, the reviews are like 2-3 stars from almost every person saying they say things are an infection, etc when they aren't.

An abdominal ultrasound is ineffective at picking up abnormalities in the scrotum. One can not be misdiagnosed if they never receive the examination in the first place. The ultrasound is the best tool that there is and the chances of missing a testicular cancer are low. If it were me, I would worry about misdiagnosis after the exam.

I can sorta feel it there but not really, the left top of testicle epididymis is big and sorta goes down to the back of the testicle, that's if its the epididymis i'm feeling.

You need to tell that to your doc. Probably not TC, but you might need some antibiotics.
