Has anyone had this happen? They approved the first one but a week before we are to start the next one its denied. MDAnderson is working on the appeal through BCBS and I have to work on one through an IRO (independent review organization) but is this bizarre?

I think it's bizarre, but I'm a decent human being, not an insurance corporation. Patrick has BCBS--TX, and they never batted an eye at any of his treatments---however, he never did the transplant. Let me know if I can help, even if you just need a proofreader.Kat

I will definately take you up on the proofing. We have a dr. appt on Thursday so hopefully we will know more. We are just in a time crunch since J was in the hospital so long after the first round that we really need to get going on this one...grrrr!
