  • Options if employer goes out of business?

I don't know for sure yet, but I'll probably know by next week if our company is going away thus leaving me with no health insurance. I live in Texas, and we were too small of a company to qualify for COBRA. What are my options if the dreaded happens? I'm just under surveillance for the moment at MD Anderson, but I couldn't even afford the 3month CT scans on my own at this point.

    Thanks for any help guys.

    Hi Jonesy,

I'm sorry I just caught this post. Did you try State Disability, unemployment, medicare, social security disability? I would go to the hospital and speak to a social worker. They are a wealth of info.
