  • Chad Bettis Charity Classic

    Hi All,

We are going to be hosting the Chad Bettis Charity Classic https://cbccevent.org/ in Phoenix, AZ on January 11-12, 2018 and are looking for others that are in the area or would like to get involved.

If you are not familiar with Chad, he is a Major League Pitcher for the Colorado Rockies. Last fall he was diagnosed with stage I testicular cancer and received the news while at dinner with his wife celebrating their 1 year anniversary at the resort where they were married. He went on surveillance but relapsed in the spring and started BEPx3 as his first daughter was being born. After chemotherapy he returned to the mound in August with an incredible 7 inning performance. There is a nice article about his story in the NY Times at https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/22/s...ad-bettis.html During his recovery and since, he has been a tireless advocate for testicular cancer and making sure other young men are aware of the disease.

The Chad Bettis Charity Classic will be a gala social gathering on the evening of January 11th and then also a golf outing on January 12th. Besides Chad, other Rockies attendees include: Kyle Freeland, Jon Gray, Mike Jasperson, Ryan McMahon, Chris Rusin, Darryl Scott, Tony Wolters as well as some fellow testicular cancer survivors.

If you are in the Phoenix area or would like to get involved then I would love to hear from you. I can also be reached at mike@tc-cancer.com or 513-696-9827
