  • After the chemo..Emergency!!!!

Is there any teratoma left after three rounds of chemotherapy?

  • #2
    Omerkulum ,

I think no one can really answer your question. The CT scan can tell you whether teratoma is still there or not. About 70% patients after chemo, the enlarged lymph nodes were not detected any more.

    Best wishes

Teratoma is unaffected by chemo, so if you had nodes with teratoma pre-chemo they will still be there post chemo. Did your pathology report say you had teratoma in your testicle? If so, what percentage?

Been a long time since I've visited here. Today is nine years since Vince passed, not to worry any here. Was the Teratoma mature or immature or did they say?

Sorry for your loss. I still remember Vince's story from many years ago when I was first diagnosed and found my way here, and I always keep it in mind when advising people in these various support groups about teratoma.

TJBRADY~ so sorry about your son! So many dismiss Teratoma, but the pathology post RPNLD can be telling as there are 2 different types of Teratoma. Again sorry for your loss.
