December 2001: Relapse - Stage III. Mets in lymph nodes and lung.
December 2001 - March 2002: 3xBEP .
Complications: Neutropaenic sepsis during cycles 1 & 3. I/V antibiotics and isolation.
March 2012 - Ten years since finishing chemo.

Salvage RPLND @Indy 6/29/11, metastatic mixed germ cell tumor with yolk sac, seminoma and teratoma
Remission! AFP steady since 9/2011; 2+ years ALL CLEAR

Thanks to the rest of you for the kind words. I deal with everything - tragic, sad, fearful - with humor, so that's how I'm approaching TC. It's made it easy for everyone but my wife (who, I suspect, knows that I just laugh at stuff when I'm scared. She's a clever one).I'm not totally crazy, I'm just half-nuts.

Here is Nicks. He had some great entries. Started at high dose treatment.
Stage IIIC pure yolk sac. Main tumor in abdomen, with mets in lungs and liver. Diagnosed 2/1/2009 Passed away 1/11/11.
Husband diagnosed March 1st, 2009 * Stage III * Yolk-Sac * Mets in Abd, liver, and lung * 4XBEP 3/09-5/09 * HDC 07/09-08/09* HDC Fail 9/09 * PET Scan shows tumor isolated in abdomen * RPLND 9/09 * Remission 10/09 * Oral Etoposide * Relapse 1/10 * Gemzar/Taxol started 2/8/10 * Failed 4/10* ARQ197 Clinical trial 04/10 * Fail * Next Clinical Trial 7/10. Brain tumors=trial cancelled. Whole Brn rad. 7/10. Seizures. Salmonella 8/10. Cyberknife 9/10. Mouth tumors diag. 11/10. Passed away 1/11/11

Can't believe Michael hasn't shared his. It's not for the faint of heart or those just diagnosed. It's a read at your own risk blog. It does however have a lot of information for those with advanced tc or those in need of further treatment after BEP.

12/15/11 began Gem/Tax
Gem/tax ended
trial at MSK FOL/FOX
6/28/12 out of trial bHCG 2288
next up Radio frequency ablation (RFA)
