  • where can I find guidelines for follow-up care?

Hopefully, time to be thinking about that!

Go to the NCCN.org website, register for free, and you can download the NCCN Guidelines for testicular cancer, which will tell you what kind of follow-up you'll need based on stage and treatment. Glad you're there!!!

Any other ideas? All I could find was guidelines for llB seminoma treated with RT. His was 3X BEP. No mention for that.

I have the 2015 version, no idea if it was revised, on page 19 table 4 it lists the recommendations for stage IIb post chemo.

Yeah, it isn't the easiest chart to read, but once you understand it, it makes sense.
          6/5/15: bHCG 27,AFP 8.66, LDH 361, 5.6cm lymph node - Stage IIC
          6/16/15: Left I/O 85% EC, 10% chorio, 5% yolk sac opinion 2 (mayo) 90% EC, 10% yolk sac
          7/7/15: bHCG 56, AFP 42, LDH 322
          7/13/15 - 9/18/15: 4xEP
10/1/15: bloodwork normal, ct scan shows 2 lymph nodes 1.0cm
10/26/15: 2nd opinion on CT results - lymph nodes normal. Surveillance!
4/6/16: 1.7cm X 1.5cm lymph node found with markers normal.
          4/20/16: RPLND @ IU - teratoma only!
3/29/2018 all clears up to this date!

OK, I've had time to check, the current version seems to be 2.2017 (adopted 12/8/16, go figure). The tables are still on page 19. Table 3 is for non bulky stage IIa &b, post rads or chemo, table 4 is for bulky stage IIb&C plus stage III post chemo.

            Hope that helps.

Dave, what does the H&P refer to?

I believe that the H&P stands for "History and Physical".

It's just a checkup/physical with the Onc. My Onc. usually asks me questions about anything that happened since the last checkup, how I feel currently, if I have any questions, concerns, etc. Palpates my nodes, checks my ears, breathing, etc She also examines the remaining guy.
