  • Aortacaval node size decrease

Hi all. 9 weeks ago I posted that my 3 year post tc scan revealed a 13mm aortacaval node , suspicious of late recurrence. I had a follow up ct scan yesterday, 9 weeks later and the node size decreased to10mm. I feel relieved but does a decrease of 3mm mean that it’s definitely not cancerous.?

I would imagine that’d be the case. Cancer doesn’t shrink on its own I believed.

Nothing is definite with cancer, but shrinkage is a positive sign, I think this needs more frequent scans going forward to keep an eye on it.JMHO.

I'm in the same situation. Nothing is definetely, but you can relax, you're on regulary surveilance again.
