  • Libido and orgasm

I need help and advice. I have been a 2Xer for 3 1/2 years. I am on Androgel and my latest testosterone check last month showed my level to be 735. The problem is that I have NO libido and I struggle to attain orgasm. My urologist says my hormone levels are great and this whole thing is in my head - that I just have to get in the right frame of mind. Well I am not sure how to do this and I am not believing the "its in your mind" thing. Any ideas or suggestions would be welcomed.

I looked up all your posts & see that you've never had good results on TRT & at one point you even stopped using the androgel & got down to a T level of 30?.
You should get tested for estradiol (kinda like an estrogen) as well as get the free T level checked. Have you been reporting these problems to your doc for 3 years & they haven't tried anything to figure it out? If so, I would seriously consider seeing a new doc, whoever you are seeing does not seem to care as long as the numbers are good. An endo might be advisable as well. Finding any doc truly knowlegeable about TRT is close to impossible, though, so it may take a few tries.

Thanks. Yes I have considered seeing an endocrinologist, I think it is about time - I am tired of feeling this way.

Just remember, even endos mostly don't get it, you will probably need to see several.

Well I am back again. I am on generic (for Androgel) testosterone. I had no testosterone for 2 months at the beginning of the year while medicare part F and the doctor went back and forth as to what would be covered and my testosterone level went to 12 and my sex life died on the vine!! Well I have been on the generic for 4 months and I have no libido and the last 3 times my wife and I were intimate i absolutely could not have an orgasm. I have been to 2 urologists and 2 endocrinologists and they all say my testosterone levels are at normal range - I am at 450 now - and there is nothing else they can do. I have to inject Trimix into my penis to get anything that resembles an orgasm and no matter if we have penetrative sex or she masturbates me can I get an orgasm any more. Am I doomed to this non orgasm hell or does anybody on this forum have any ideas? As info I tried to get the generic for Testim because I had heard that men not successful with Androgel or its generic had better results with Testim or its generic but insurance said they would only cover the Androgel generic. I have thought about testosterone shots but I have heard that there are some undesirable side effects. HELP....

Swissguy are you talking erection or orgasm? I had some issues similar to you with erections when my T level was still in the normal range. Sildenafil took care of that (generic viagra). Not sure what the cause is. Once my wife and are are comfortable with it we will try lowering the dose to see if things continue to work normal or not.

I think I would consider trying injections, we have quite a few guys here using them & I can't recall anyone reporting problems.
