Just wanted to say how thankful I am for this forum. With the research I was able to do here I contacted a TC specialist, avoided RPLND, and confirmed I only needed one round of BEP. Testicular cancer taught me, among many things, how important it is for you to be your own health advocate and do your own research; I had a particularly unique tumor so the standard course of post-op treatment just wouldn't have made sense despite the fact that my oncologist and urologist were both recommending the standard stuff (I learned they just don't have the time to research curveballs, no pun intended). I am 3 years in the clear and am approaching my 3.5 year follow-up appointment; I've had another kid post TC, and feel pretty healthy. Again, I'm very, very thankful to the admins and people who have dedicated their time and energy to make this research forum. I'm a musician and wrote a song about my cancer experience--it's hard rock just to give you a head's up: https://maxxout.bandcamp.com/track/the-cancer-song
Thanks again!!!
