  • Post Cancer and working out

    Hi all,
How are all my tc-surviving fellas doing. I been in remission for 3 years ( stage1 sem.) and have started to hit gym back again. Previously there was a post by me where alot of guys mentioned that they had use muscle building supplements prior to being diagnosed with cancer. now going back to gym i am debating if i should start taking supplements again or no? how many of us were taking supplements prior to TC diagnosis and continued even after & have been ok(thankfully)

Glad you are getting back to the gym. Hoping someone can answer about supplements.

In my opinion, we just don't know enough about the consequences of taking supplements, many of which are new so we haven't had the time to study them. So I recommend staying away from them.

Getting exercise is a good & healthy thing, but what would you be trying to accomplish with supplements? Bigger muscles do not equal better health. I would look closely at what it is you want to get from your exercise program & make your decision, but personally, they seem like money down the drain to me.
