  • Question about Remission of Testicular Cancer

Hi, I have a few questions for you all, I got diagnosed with testicular cancer (100% Embryonal Carcinoma) with lymphovascular invasion with my retroperotenal lymph nodes involved in November of 2018. I underwent 3X BEP chemotherapy and now 2 months post chemo my tumor markers are normal, but they never were overly elevated to begin with, I have lost up near 20 pounds since the end of chemo which has only been about 2 months out, with non elevated tumor markers is this a concern with the weight loss and appetite change?

Has your appetite or activity level changed? I don’t think most recurrent TC patients report rapid weight loss. You might have been retaining fluid from steroids on Chemo?

Is it 20 pounds below your pre-chemo weight?

Also how difficult was your chemo experience?

Another question - did you get steroids during chemo? Because that made me really hungry and I put on weight after treatment. What was your appetite like during chemo?
