  • Which tumor markers are you tested for when you are on surveillance?

Do you guys have just one or all 3 tested?

Doctor forgot to test a month ago, and I noticed they only checked LDH. Do you guys get HCG and ATP tested? Should I be getting all 3 tested?

On every checkout, I tested all 3 markers - LDH, HCG, and AFP. You should call your doctor and ask him, maybe it is some mistake.

It is common to test all three. Were any of them elevated before your I/O?

Hey Davepet. Yes. Getting expert advice but then seeking treatment where my insurance is covered. They have conflicting ideas of how things should be done and they said all three were tested but they didnt have that posted online so I couldnt access it, only the result for one test. So I was just worried.

Well most of the time, LDH is the least useful, it's not actually a tumor marker, just indicates inflammation, which could be anywhere in your body. AFP & hcg are actual tumor markers & far more useful if elevated.
