    Brief Story

    Hi All,

I got to join the club on September 1, with a removal of the left testicle and a diagnosis of pure seminoma, pT1 w/rete testis invasion, tunica albuginea invasion, but that's it. Tumor markers we negative before surgery. I feel fortunate that's the current diagnosis, and I am now on surveillance, with my first CT scan and tumor markers negative as of September 6.

The current issue - I paranoid I'm feeling lymph nodes everywhere. I've enormous respect for everyone who's story I've read here, and have appreciated seeing them.

    Thanks.

We're basically twins! Has my orchie on September 2nd 2016. I had hellish scan anxiety in the two weeks prior to orchie and 4 weeks following. On surveillance now. Ultimately Dave is right. But damn last week was the first week it wasn't always looming in my thoughts.

Well, you need to stop doing that, you will just make yourself crazy. Your surveillance will catch ANY recurrence long before you can feel it.... Trust your surveillance.

    Hi weapau,

Sad to welcome you to the club, but here you are and this is a great forum to be on. Congratulations on the your first negative scan!

A negative scan to lymph node that is tangible within a months time would be unlikely with seminoma, it is the slower growing of the TC cancers. Try to find ways that help you manage with the worry of recurrence. Meditation worked well for me! The more negative scans you get, the easier it will become!

How are you feeling after your I/O? Recovered well?
