Wait a minute. If I understand you correctly, your U/S was inconclusive, your MRI was inconclusive, and your CT found no cancer anywhere?? WHY are they planning to remove *both* testicles if there is no evidence of disease beyond an elevation of hcg?

The left one is 4 times the size of normal right now and the the doctor said the tumor had taken over the entire testicle and in the right one the MRI there was definitely something in there and the right one is showing signs of swelling also

There is nothing wrong with getting a second opinion, and in your case I would highly recommend it. You will be dealing with lifelong testosterone replacement which may not be necessary. I think it's highly unlikely (not impossible) that you'd have TC in both testicles at the same time and the inconcluse nature of your scans would have me thinking twice.

Calling the Urologist first thing in the morning to arrange an ultrasound tomorrow on the right one even if it means going to the ER to get one

SCOTTY~ did you get a 2nd opinion? Are they doing more bloodwork? I saw your HCG was high in above comment.

There is no such thing as "best",it's more about what works for you best & convenience. The daily gel application tends to give a more stable blood level, but an injection every three weeks is much more convenient. Both have worked fine for me, I sometimes get a slight drop in libido in week 3, but nothing serious.I personally did not like the way Testim smelled,
but androgel & it's generic both were fine.

Some guys don't absorb the gel very well, others hate needles.Pick your poison.

I'm glad surgery went well. Take it easy the next couple weeks and try not to strain your body. You'll be pretty sore but ice packs and pain meds will help. Let us know the pathology when it comes back

Have you gotten yourself onto some TRT yet? What regime? As Davepet says, there is no "right" version... I am on daily gels, have been for 7+ years and have had zero issues with it since I started. Take care. DZ (DoubleZero!)
