  • orchiectomy tomorrow morning. going to be a sleepless night.

I am asked to check in tomorrow morning 8:30am. no food after 12am. even no water after 6:30am. reasonable?

Yeah, that's reasonable. They don't want you to puke out the food/water during anesthesia. Get some Netflix queued up for your recovery!

Good luck tomorrow (I guess today your time..?)! Try not to worry too much! as long as there are no complications you should be home a few hours after you wake up. It took longer for me to recover from appendicitis surgery than it did for my orchiectomy, and in my case, the psychological bit wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it'd be. There's no doubt in my mind that you're gonna make it through this. Netflix is a good idea, but stay away from stuff that'll make you laugh out loud. Laughing was, in my case, more painful than getting up/sitting down by far!

Back home now. 8:30am in, 1pm out. I was a little nervous since I never have surgery before. But things ran smoothly. Had a short sleep then job done.
Will share updates in after op section. Thank you all for your kindness support!

Lucky you had an early AM appointment. They gave me the same stop-eating time, but my surgery was scheduled for like 3pm! I was starving!
