Second Opinion W/O The "Second Opinion"

Hi All,
New guy here! I was just diagnosed with reoccurred IIc seminoma here in Charlotte, NC. While Levine Cancer center is a reputable big city hospital group, I am having them forward my records over to IU health for me to get a second opinion.
While I am fully prepared to make the trip for a formal visit, I truly believe that the chemo regimen proposed by my oncologist here is correct and as straight-forward as it can be (3 BEP/possible surgery post-chemo), but I just want to get the "expert" stamp of approval. Has anyone had success in emailing Dr Einhorn (or a colleague) to get their opinion? Or has anyone's Oncologist reached out to IU to get an opinion? Just want to get as much info as possible as efficiently as possible.

Dr E has always always always responded back to eith my emails or my doctors emails. He is very approachable

So sorry about reoccurance. Yes, Dr. E will respond- [email protected].
Keep us updated, and a 2nd opinion is always good if beyond stage 1 or a reoccurance so far out. Please keep us updated.

I emailed him this morning (saturday) and within an hour he emails me back, amazing! He mentioned he wants to see me there in-person given the long stint prior to re-occurrence. Said 4 BEPs are likely necessary, but post-chemo maybe not.

Wow 11 years clear & now a recurrence. I trust they did an U/S on righty to rule out a second primary?

Yes I have been dubbed a "medical miracle!" and yes, they did CT on pelvis, abdomen, chest, brain and bone scan. all are negative except for the one tumor in abdomen. just started first day of 3 BEPs today!

But did they do an ultrasound on the remaining testicle? At 11 years I would be suspicious of a second primary tumor.
