  • Prosthetic Causing Swelling/Inflammation in the Remaining 'Good one'

    Hi Gents,

Does anyone else with a prosthetic implant get swelling in the remaining natural testicle after doing sports?

Happening to me all the time! The good one gets massive after I go cycling, hiking, running or wear tight jeans etc! Quite worrying, I checked it out in the begging, but Ultra Sound shows it's just water.

I wear supportive briefs, doesn't make a big difference. Prosthetic does hang quite high, and has probably been moving higher since it was popped in during the Orchiectomy.

So my theory is is rubs the good one. But it's quite annoyng and discerting - I can't imagine repetative swelling is good in the long run either, so I am thinking about getting the implant removed!

Any experience out there with this issue or impact removal? (seems straight forward).

    Cheers! Matt

I can't recall anyone mentioning a problem like that, you might try wearing loose clothing while exercising as an experiment.
