  • Prostate growth

I'm on testosterone injections every three weeks.
In March prostate size on ultrasound was 40mm,in April it was 52mm on CT.
Is this caused by testosterone, should I take lower dozes?
Right now it is max for my age.
    Right I/O, teratoma Left I/O,seminoma

How much do you take every 3 weeks? Are you saying your blood levels are maximum for your age?

My testosterone level is 31,65 nmoL/L and I'm taking one injection 250 mg/ml..Normal levels for me is:
      20-29(years):11,07-31,68.
I had many CT,MRI and ultrasound scans and all of them showed 40 mm size, last one bigger.
      I'm on testosterone 9 months.

I assume you are injecting just one ml at 250 mg/ml?

In my case, I inject one ml at 200 mg/ml once every 3 weeks & my levels seem to hang around the middle of the normal range. I'm 64 years old & ~200 pounds.

It seems to me that you should discuss a reduction in dose with your doc, you are pretty young to have your prostate growing, & you are at the high end of the testosterone level scale. Certainly, get the size re-checked as well.

No idea how medics do that, one small vial and it writes 250 mg/ml on it.
I will reduce it definitely, could prostate return to previous size ?

Please discuss with your doc before making changes. Probably the easiest way to reduce is to get the doc to prescribe a 200mg/ ml dose & test again in a few months. I do not know if the prostate will reduce in size if T levels are lowered. I did find articles saying higher T levels seem to correspond to larger prostate size, especially as we age. Talk to your doc.
