Embryonal Carcinoma; Seminoma. Marker negative.
August 2001: Right I/O .
August - December 2001: Surveillance .
December 2001: Relapse - Stage III. Mets in lymph nodes and lung.
December 2001 - March 2002: 3xBEP .
Complications: Neutropaenic sepsis during cycles 1 & 3. I/V antibiotics and isolation.
March 2012 - Ten years since finishing chemo.

Hcg is still undetectible. This is is 4 days short of a year from my last surgery. I have been so busy with normal life that my monthly checks sneak up on me.4x vip

Another good blood test. If all is good in a month i think we are going to go 3 months. My onc asked me how often i think about cancer and i was not sure how to answer i think about it daily but don't worry. Just busy with work and working out has become a way to make me feel better. A long way from a year ago.4x vip

I continue to pop in just to read your updates....I'm so thrilled you continue to receive good news. I think that's terrific that you can switch to 3 months, though I imagine it's scary as well. All the best and keep the faith and enjoy life. You sure have come a long way and deserve it!! Thanks for the updates too, as I think about you often.

1 X PVB 1/2/09-1/6/09
2 X HDC w/ stem cell rescue 2/4/09-3/14/09
Follow-up with Dr. Einhorn 4/22/09
HCG 1.2
3 rounds, 21 days, twice daily, VP-16 50mg 4/24/09-7/10/09

Hcg is still undetectable. I will have been at my job for a year next month and will be moving into my own place this week. Exciting things ate going on and none that revolve around cancer.4x vip

I love reading stories like yours. I know it had to have been rough....but boy you you should honored to have beaten this thing no matter what. You are a hero and inspiration for it.

6.3 x 5.1 x 3.8 cm, no invasion of anything
LDH never fully normalized
Stage: IS
Watchful Waiting
May 1st: promoted to Stage IIB with two PET active tumors in the para-aortic lymph nodes 2.5 & 2.4 cm
May 12th: started 3xBEP
Neupogen during Cycle 2 and 3
July 8th: Last Bleo shot of Cycle 3 -- chemo completed !
August 4th: Post Chemo CT/PET scan
September 4th: Port removed
Jan 9th 2019: 4.5 YEARS ALL CLEAR !
