  • Post chemo Ct scan liver cyst?

Hey all hope all is well. Just finishing up my 6 month check up from having chemotherapy 3x BEP to get rid of 1 lymph node. My CT scan showed all clear as far as lymph nodes, but a small 'cyst' barely was within margin to appeared on my liver. My hcg levels have gone to normal after first round of chemo and stayed at normal and my afp has been stable fluctuating between 12-15. My oncologist has ordered an MRI to get a better view of what is going on and to see if it they can biopsy. I don't have my MRI for a whole month, is that too long to wait? Has anyone else dealt with a similar situation?

It doesn't sound like much to worry about actually. Certainly you want to follow up on it, but I would be comfortable waiting that long.

We have had others in here that have had various small lesions on their liver, I can't recall any that turned into something serious.

            hi Fresh,

I also had a liver cyst before the chemo and was scared as hell about a potential misdiagnosis... I googled for days, i remember.

Actually, it disappeared and i never had a biopsy done... Liver cysts are more common than thought, its just you do not have normally scans when you are healthy and young.

Never heard of 2 spleens before, but guess that gives you an advantage over the rest of us?
