  • Post surgical seroma

    Hi everyone!

Just had my first CT scan post EPx4 and post chemo RPLND (2/19).

Markers were normal in March and June. Only teratoma was found in RPLND.

However there was finding of a post surgical fluid build up, a seroma or lympocele, in my left retropertoneal. Onco thinks this is very normal. Will refer me back to surgeon if markers are elevated (they will come back tomorrow)

Wanted to see if anyone had experience with this. I just wanted for once to have no worries after an onco appointment.

No worries it's just fluid build up from surgery. I had a back surgery about a year ago and had the same thing
It was 2 inches deep and 6 inches across and 12 inches or so long. Its normal and nothing to do with relapse. Again just fluid build up post surgery.
