  1. Everything's going well, I basically feel and look like me, just with less hair. Now that I have all kinds of time on my hands I basically lift weights and bike, which has helped accelerate getting back into form. Mom's fine too, but she'll never not be nervous about it. I think cancer probably messes with the people close to you more than you. Once i'm done with the VP-16 i'll be able to start moving passed all this, cause that will be around the 6 month all-clear. Thanks for the support and advice during my HDC man, really appreciated it. Heard you're a dad, and you named your kid Chaos. That's awesome man, that sounds like the kind of name people change their name to
  2. I googled it, and turns out zbot is actually a backdoor trojan virus that steals banking information. It was involved in the theft of 70 million dollars and the feds never caught the perps. for all you know i'm a genius computer hacker. check your account, you're 401k is gone. i used it for a pure platinum and gold prosthetic testicle. makes for awkward moments getting wanded by security in the airport.
either that or a zbot is a 1994 promotional action figure that comes with a burger king kids meal.
  3. Results are in! No chemo, no surgery, count still under 3, big ones dead, lots of teratoma though but going to keep an eye on that with monthly bloods and 3monthly ct scans.
  4. Hey John and Lorinda- Doug just got his last Bleo for round one and the nurse said his neutrophil count was virtually "non-existent". OK? He got his Bleo but I am worried about infection now...should I have pushed for Neupogen? I am going to email Jackie but I know you guys know as much as any body.
  5. Hi John, Bob doing well. Tumor marker down to 847 before 2nd round of chemo. Got through chemo better this time around. Lost about 15 lbs. again, but symptoms better. Hope to see tumor marker come down more on Thurs. when we see doctor. His immune system is shot, but chemo is working!!
  6. Hi John! My name is Lisa I spoke to you over the phone last week I think! Days start running into each other. My husband, Bob, is doing well with his chemo. One down, 3 to go. He needed a platlett transfusion and Neoprogen shots for 7 days. He had no immume system and a low-grade fever for 5 days. Lost 15 lbs. in 1 week, but gained 7lbs. back in 4 days. Trying to plump him up for next round. Tumor marker down to 86,000. Started at 220,000. Just wanted to let you know how much it meant to me to speak to you!!! You gave me hope and Bob wanted to know why I was sooo happy. The last 2 weeks have been really hard, but at least now I know what to expect. Wanted to keep you posted on how he was doing and thank you for all the great info. Hope all is well in your life!!! Thanks again for everything, you don't know how much it meant to speak to you. Lisa

P.s my code name is Jane, so I guess that means Bob is Tarzan!!!

Hi John/Lorinda. I hope things are going well. I just have a question. Back in the fall Dan Kellog's parents signed your guestbook. I sent an email to his mom back in September just to let her know I had a son with TC too. Do you know if Dan is doing okay? I sent an email a few weeks ago and never received a response. I thought maybe you had met them at IU while their son was there and kept in touch with them. Thanks!

Hi! My name is Yana, I've seen you on so many posts, and Les' Mom even mentioned you in something that she wrote to me. I wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your courage and strength. From your about me section, it's clear that you've been through a lot, and you've conquered! I think that's amazing! My boyfriend was recently diagnosed with TC, and it's been incredibly tough, especially considering that it's stage III chorio. It's been extremely tough to deal with and very scary, but I'm happy that I found your page, as it offers me inspiration and provides a wonderful example of someone in a similar situation who has done so well with defeating this awful disease and staying positive through the whole thing. My boyfriend is also like that, he's very tough and refuses to let this get him down.
Anyways, thanks for your support on the page and for sharing your experiences with those who really need to see positive things sometimes. Personally speaking, it was really comforting.

I wanted you to see this too. Please reply with your imput.
Hey Fed, my user name is lolohill. i first posted in 9/09 with testical cancer to which my left testical was removed. I cant find my old thread. Anyway i went thru chemo my markers were always normal during and after treatment. The latest problem is my lymphnoid in the stomach area to which were 1.6 cm before treatment and only went down to .6 and .4. My doctors say it should have been @ 0 by now so i am getting a peck or pet scan to which they say if it lights up they will have to do magor surgery to take the noids out. My cancer i had was 3 differnet ones mostly seminomia but it had a "ray" of non seminomia and another one i cant remember. Have you dealt with this kind of problem before? Is it still highley good chance this will work. Please reply back and let me know what you think.
