Thanks for your wishes. While the check-ups are getting easier, I confess to a certain amount of anxiety as the dates approach. It's always nice to have Mom's engaged in this battle on behalf of their kids. I can't fathom how most young guys handle this without a parent. I just wish we could have "met" some other way.

Steve is doing very well but my anxiety never seems to go away. His chemo was in the fall of 2008 with his
RPLND in January of 2009. He's been all clear since then but I still feel like a cloud is hanging over our heads. I'm a nurse and I happen to work for hospice. I see so many unhappy endings that it's just very difficult to relax and think everything will be fine. Of course I don't let Steve see that. It's just something that I have to deal with. There are so many strong mothers on this site. I'm sure you are another one. Glad you found the site but so sorry that you needed to find it. Give my best wishes to Nick.

I'm so sorry that your son is going through this ordeal. As a mother, I know all too well just how horrible this is. My son Steve was diagnosed in September of '08 and I still feel as is I'm on edge so much of the time. I will keep your son in my prayers and hope that his treatment is a complete and total success.
