well i have seen your post. where you mentioned that you've have had a slightly elevated b-hcg like 4.6, and your AFP was normal,, but the CT scan showed an enlarged node.. my case is similar to that of you i am from india i had tc last year oct/2010 left I/O normal markers before surgery no invasion. after a year on surveillance on 14th of nov i had my blood work done and in the report it showed that my bhcg was slightly elevated like 5.10mIu/ml normal range here we describe is 5.3mIu/ml onl?y 0.7miu/ml is elevated, then very next day i had ct scan with iv contracts and report were normal, my afp and ldh were also normal only just a slight elevated B-hcg is bothering me, my onc told me that i am very luck and he thinks that i ha'v been completed cure. he said that small fluctuation of bhcg is not a cause of concern at this moment and advice me to to have bhcg again after 3months, and most important think is that i have noticed two points in my ct report
the rest about stomach,liver,spleen,gall blader, adrenals,kidneys git, retroperitoneum, urinary bladder, postrate everything is fine and normal, the conclusion of my ct report is
NO ANY SIGNIFICANT ABNORMALITIES.. i saw these two points in my reports
few sub centimeter sized fibrotic nodes in infrarenal left paraaotic region
no any iliac or any other significant nodes..

and
mesentery: no thickening seen. no evidence of increased vascularity seen. few sub-centimeter sized nodes..
is this means my lymph-nodes are enlarged few sub-centimeter sized??.. my doctor told me that i have everything normal and perfect .. still i have some doubt about these two poins can you just explain me what are these two things and dose it have any connection with raised bhcg and tc relapse? cause in your case your bhcg was also slightly elevated and in my case to.. just to get a peace of mind.. and i am planing to have a bhcg test after on 25th so is it ok to have bhcg test again after 10days i heard the half life of bhcg is 5 to 7 days..?? need some advice from you sir, thanking you..
