Hi, Smartie. I'm new here. Just joined today. Had TC and both of my testis have been removed. Currently undergoing chemo BEPX4. 2nd cycle starting on the 11th of this month.

Hi, can you help me? My elderly uncle was just diagnosed with prostate cancer...do you have a recommendation for a urologic oncologist in the UK? He lives in Margate, Kent, but I am sure that he travels to London to see his cardiologist, etc.
I have no clue about health systems in the UK or any place other than the US (and a minor knowledge of Canadian systems). Jeez...and we have relatives in UK, Cyprus, Greece and Australia....I should be more informed.

Hi. You seem to be the most active person on here from the UK! Just thought I'd touch base as I'm new to this (only found out I had TC 3 weeks ago and already had right I/O). Got my first CT scan a couple of days after Christmas. Biopsy came back and a nurse had to tell me over the phone as surgeon was ill but she said the report contained the word seminoma. Will find out more when I meet the oncologist on the 28th.

I am presuming you are now clear. How long? Also any hints or tips to make this site more useful than it already is would be gratefully received. Have a great Christmas.

Just wanted to thank you for your message on my thread re: CT Scan. The Scan was all clear which is great. Tumor markers also back and AFP decrease to 9 - added bonus.

I have a question for you ,, my friend had TC about 2 years ago , it was a stage 1 ,had radiation treatment and now drs have made a thyroid biopsy where the diagnosis was : ABUNDANT FOLLICULAR CELLS WITH DISCREET ATIPIA (LESION OF FOLLICULAR CELLS),,, Do you think this is bad , he hasnt seen a doctor yet ,, he just had this diagnosis .
his blood markers have been normal and ct scan as well ,, he suffers from back pain after treatment.

Quick question. I know you had stage III and it spread all the way to your lungs and lymph nodes. Did you have any symptoms for this or it just all came out in your CT scan/X-Ray? Thanks and hope all is going good!
