Thanks for the reply. To be clear, I'm actually 40 this year. And the doctors all say the same thing about back pain, but my experience and intuition says it's something more than your normal aging back pain.

My testosterone was within normal levels when I tested about a year ago. I suppose...

  • My TC Story of hope - 36 years later

I felt inspired to share some of my TC story...

I was diagnosed with stage 1 embryonal carcinoma in the right testicle when I was 4 years old. We found it because I told my dad that it hurt when I went to the bathroom. I was treated at Primary Children's Hospital in Utah in 1983. The tumor...

  • I feel qualified to comment on this. I know this is an old thread, but I feel like I need to leave this here anyway...

I was diagnosed at the age of 4 and it has since been 36 years. I spent many of those years being depressed and narcissistic - partially as a result of TC and partially...

  • I was treated (orchiectomy, RPLND, chemo) when I was 4 years old. That was 36 years ago. I have some aches in my back and some fatigue issues, but I'm not going to die young. Especially because I'm over 40 now. But, my skinny old grandpa just hit 101 years old. I see no reason why I can't outlive...

  • I was diagnosed and treated 36 years ago (orchiectomy, RPLND, chemo). I've had back pain when laying down for as long as I can remember. When I get up, it slowly fades away. I've noticed that deep breathing seems to help, especially if I roll over to my stomach and take some weight off my back. I'm...

@roybatty, I'm curious about your experience. This year marks 36 years since I was treated for TC with an orchiectomy, RPLND and chemo. I've had several mild symptoms most of my life (which I attribute to the treatment but don't know for sure it is the cause). My symptoms started to become more pronounced...

  • 36 years after treatments (orchiectomy, chemo, RPLND) I was diagnosed with gastroparesis. Seems to have slowly gotten worse over the last 7ish years. Miralax + probiotics has been the only thing that keeps me going. I've also learned to eat a low-fiber diet as crazy as that sounds....

I know this is an old thread, but I want to mention that I was recently diagnosed with gastroparesis 36 years after my TC treatments. It's been mild most of my life but now that I'm over 40, it's gotten worse. I too have found some relief with diet changes. Mostly low-fiber foods, and baking soda has...

  • I was treated 36 years ago when they used different drugs... actinomycin-d, adriamycin, vincristine, and cytoxan. I've had mild gastroparesis every since then, but now that I'm over 40, it seems to have gotten worse. I don't know for sure that it was the chemo drugs. It could have been damage to my...

  • I get ringing ears frequently. It's usually associated with minor back pain after exercise or after lying on my back for a few hours at night and then rolling to my side. It comes on almost instantly. My situation is a bit different though, as I was treated with different chemo drugs 36 years ago (actinomycin-d,...
