    Noah

Hello to all, long type no type to!! The aftermath has offered yet another interesting avenue to explore. Wandering might be a good word. Russell just finished TM's and all is well. Liver will be evaluated in January. So far defined as cysts. Still don't understand cysts with density, but trying to relax into it as it is so far. Enjoying the return of some balance. For now...this e-mail came to me yesterday (Nov 6, 2009) from my friend (a case manager at the hosptial) and I thought I would share in case anyone is interested in joining the effort. (I added a few dollars to mine...can imagine the stuggle of a young family.) That I think of you everyday is an understatement!! Lovestrong, Sharon

    Subject: Noah

    Team,

My sister Erin called me this morning and she informed me of a very sad situation that made me cry. She has a friend in Michigan with a five year old son Noah who is in the end stages of Neuroblastoma. It is unlikely that he will make it to Christmas this year so his family is celebrating Christmas next week. He loves Christmas cards and Erin told me that the family would love it if Noah would receive lots of Christmas cards. His name is: Noah Biorkman

His address: 1141 Fountain View Circle

    South Lyon , MI 48178

Please help make Noah’s early Christmas as special as can be and drop a Christmas card in the mail for him as soon as you can.

    Thanks,

    Allie

Thanks for sharing Sharon. I can't even begin to think and certainly can't type what I really want to say... particularly since my 9 year old shares the same name.

My 3 kids will certainly be making a card tomorrow for little Noah.
    Best,

    Zsolt

We definately be sending a card on Monday. I told my sister and she is as well. I despise that fact that any one has to experience cancer but I hate that children do as well. It breaks my heart a little everytime I hear of one.

It was/is the people around me that kept/keep me from falling over. I am constantly reminded of the generosity that people share to others far beyond the boundaries of familiar friends and family. Completly heartwarming!!! Livestrong/Lovestrong, Sharon

Hi, Sharon. Thanks for sharing this info. Cards are on the way. I also dedicated my 44 mile ride today to Noah. I always wear my Lovestrong team or Cyclists Combating Cancer jerseys when I honor others like Noah.

How have you been? Happy to hear Russell's tests are "normal", whatever that means, but usually good news is just that: good news.

Keep writing. I love to hear from you. Thank you for caring so much.

BTW, my Noah (and his sisters) sent little Noah a Lego Star Wars Battle Pack and a card earlier this week. I just really hope it arrives in time. Any update, Sharon, would be great.

It does work if you register and login. The update says they celebrated Christmas on November 8. The family thanks everyone and asks that no more cards and gifts be mailed. "We need the peace right now."

I grew up not far from where Noah lived, and regularly check the Detroit Free Press newspaper website. Saw this story online this morning.
