Well, it's been 6 months since my partner's orchidectomy, and we have had nothing but positive results from the monthly active surveillance. I'm assuming that means that the cancer has been gone for 6 months - does that count as an 'all clear'?
Our wedding was all planned when we found out about the cancer, but we were so fortunate that it didn't affect it (not that we would have let it anyway). The day was wonderful, and of course the 'in sickness and in health' vow was very emotional. We've now also been married for two months, and it's treating us very well indeed
Long may the health and happiness continue!

Well done on your husband getting to 6 months and congratulations on getting married. My oncologist at the Christie said that if it was going to show itself it would be most likely to do so in the first 6 months. Not an "all clear" yet but well on the way to being so. Good to see that you're not letting it stop you living life to the full.

Congrats to you both. Photo looks like it was taken in the Bristol/Bath/Cheltenham area from the colour of the stone.
I did have a blip in my AFP marker at 6 months when it went up to 13 from 5 but the following month it dropped back to 4. Just had my two year marker results and the AFP has now dropped to 2.

So when exactly do all clears start happening? Can you tell I'm looking forward to them? My husband was diagnosed on my mum's birthday so it's a bit on an indelible date for me - will never forget wishing my mum a happy birthday and telling her the outcome of the ultrasound (she knew it was happening so couldn't not disclose it).
Jonwil - eagle eyes! Yes, we got married in Bath. Nowhere fancy, but we got our photographer to take us up to the Royal Crescent for some pictures between the ceremony and the reception (in a village hall!). We're also keeping an eye mainly on the AFP, so it's reassuring to hear that a rise one month doesn't necessarily mean the worst.
