My son is scheduled for his second cycle of chemo on Monday but the nurse said that they won't do chemo is his counts are low. I've read that with testicular cancer that they do chemo anyways if the counts are low because they feel it is best to hit this cancer hard and fast. I didn't talk to the doctor but I think the nurse is wrong. What do you think?
My son's doctor is very nice and compassionate and he sits down and talks to us and we are able to ask question and even question the treatment my son is getting. Just the nurse threw me with that comment and I should have said that I would like to talk to the doctor on that one but I didn't. I just want to make sure that what I read is right and see what you guys think.
