    1st post-chemo CT scheduled

I'll be getting my first CT on March 14th. The insurance company wouldn't allow a full body PET, so they're going with a pelvic and torso CT with contrast.

Will coordinate with the docs (going to see the urologist and the oncologist this month too) to hopefully see them on the same day, seeing Oncologist in the later afternoon and listening for those wonderful two words.

Once I hear them, I will be able to agree that I am post-treatment.
    Right I/O in early childhood
TRT due to low functionality, since 2004 (Axiron)

Back pain CT shows 7.5 x 8 x 11 cm periaortic node, Pure Seminoma (Stage III), Summer 2010
    Left I/O, September 14, 2010
    4xBEP, September 20 - December 6, 2010

    All clear through 3-12-12
    Next: 6-15-12

Good luck! Maybe you guys can help me understand why you go back to the Urologist if the Oncologist is the one doing all the follow up blood work and CT Scans. Is my son's Urologist going to want to see him for the next 5 years? Are both the Urologist and Oncologist going to see my son for the next 5 years? I just assumed the Oncologist would continue seeing my son. I didn't expect any future visits with the Urologist unless my son suspected something in the other testicle. Sorry for all the questions. I keep educating my son on what to expect since he doesn't want to read these sites.
    Son Diagnosed 6/24/10
    Right I/O 6/28/10
    (65% Teratoma, 10% EC, 10% Yolk Sac, 10% Seminoma, 5% Choriocarcinoma)
    3XBEP 8/10-10/10
RPLND 11/2/11 (cyst in right pelvic area was mature teratoma and lymph nodes were clear)

The urologist just wants to do a follow up to make sure I healed well from the surgery. I will also ask him at that appointment about scheduling the installation of my "brass ones" later in the spring.

I am just scheduling all of my appointments for the same week (tried the same day, but trying is the first step to failure) because I don't have any more sick days and that week is my mid-semester break.

I will have the CT and the oncologist visit on the 14th. As my 3-year old daughter would say, "I think this is gonna be a fun time!" I can't wait to hear those famous two words.

    Have a great day!
