    Sorry another anxiety post

    Hi,

My brother is due his CT and markers tomorrow morning. Usually I would have anxiety but not this bad. The reason is that he is feeling very tired and lacking in energy for the last two weeks. He was fine up till then. He got a really bad cold with very bad cough. This is the first time he is suffering from anxiety that he is sharing with us.

Could these be the symptoms of a relapse? I was trying to resist posting this but really need some guidance.

    Thanks for reading this.

Here's hoping everything turns out fine!

Regarding the lack of energy, etc. - sometimes a bad cold will just do that to you. Also, while most guys do ok after an orchiectomy, sometimes the remaining testicle just gives out after a while and can't keep up. If everything comes back clear and the lack of energy and tiredness persist, it wouldn't be a terrible idea to consult an endocrinologist to get his hormone levels checked out.

Val, keeping you and your brother in my thoughts and keeping everything crossed for all clear scan and blood results. It's a very anxious wait at a time like this and when you combine that with a bad cold, I think it's natural to be feeling exhausted and worried. *Hugs* to you and the family.

I understand your anxiety absolutely. Waiting for results is terrible expecially with some health issues. But is very probability that his tiredness can be caused by cold only and that is just cold. When he has had his last check-up (CT or markers) done?

You and your brother are in my prayers...keep us posted.

I believe it will be fine...If he was clear 4 months ago it is unlikely that his cough is sign of relapse... I am not a doctor but I think that it would be sign more advance disease but 4 month is too brief period.
Best wishes and good luck for his markers tomorow! HeŽll be (is) fine.

A bad cold will make you tired & lacking in energy. If it persists for more than a week or so, report it to his doc, otherwise just assume it's normal.

Yay! I think my husband gives himself psychosomatic illnesses around the time of his check ups and scans. Of course, that doesn't stop me from having a small stroke every time I hear him cough, no matter what I tell myself.

Here's to hoping that someday our gentlemen can have a cold without us wanting to calling an ambulance. :-)

    And congratulations on the superduperclear-ness!

He came out smiling said all was well and next check up end of September/October as he going on three weeks holidays in September.

Thanks to everyone for the support and good wishes and wishing everyone who is going for follow ups the very best of luck. Will be saying a prayer for you all.
