    Front page news baby!

    We made the front page of our local paper. All looking good since September!!
    Husband diagnosed march '11 -Beta HCG Levels 2.3 million
    - Stage 3c chirocarcinoma -Abdo, lungs and brain mets
    - Brain hemmorage, stroke -4x EP chemo ending with BHCG11
    - July '11 start 4x VeIP rounds chemo
    - Stem cell harvesting failed July '11, (no stem cells to collect)
    - September end of chemo, BHCG less than 3
    - Follow up PET, CT, MRI clear. BHCG less than 3
    - Lung surgery in Dec11. 20 tumors removed from right lung
    - April12, no change, BHCG still at less than 3. Looking good

    Feb/Mar 2009: RHS - Seminoma (with Radio Therapy)
    Mar 2010: LHS - Embryonal carcinoma (with Surveillance)
    Aug 2010: Relapse, awaiting 3 BEP
    1st Sep 2010 - 29th Oct: three cycles of BEP.
    6th Dec 2010: Scan results: lymph node shrunk from 2.4 -> 1.2cm
    Dec 2010: Back on surveillance.
    13 June 2011: ALL CLEAR!

    Left I/O 12/31/10.
    4xBEP 1-4/11, AFP=22, 5*7 RP mass, tx failed
    1.5 x VeIP 5-6/11; tx failed, AFP/b-hCG rising
    Salvage RPLND @Indy 6/29/11, metastatic mixed germ cell tumor with yolk sac, seminoma and teratoma
    Remission! AFP steady since 9/2011; 1.5 years ALL CLEAR

    2/22/12-Consultation for a vasectomy. Turned away and told to get blood work and ultrasound. Cancer suspected.
    2/24/12- Dx, B-hcg=9670, LDH=250
    2/28/12- L I/O Embryonal, Chorio, teratoma-8.5cm retroperitoneal mass-2.5cm mass in neck lymph node
    3/12/12- 4XBEP-Start of Round 1( HCG-8100)
    4/2/12 Start of Round 2 (HCG down to 176)
    4/23/12 Start of Round 3 (HCG down to 13)
    5/14/12 Start of Round 4 (HCG down to 6)

    8.7.2011: Diagnosed (Microlithiasis in the remaining one). 14.7.2011: AFP 139, hCG 80, OT left. 18.7.2011: (Path: non-seminoma mixed-germ cell 15% Seminoma, 35% Embryonal Carcinoma and 50% Teratoma, Stage 1). 28.7.2011: AFP 38, hCG <1 CT scan clear 8.8.2011: First cycle of 2X BEP starts AFP 12, hCG <1, 29.8.2011: Second cycle of 2xBEP starts AFP 5, hCG<1. 19.9.2011: All Clear
