I'm having a second ultrasound performed tomorrow on my left testicle. Had my first ultrasound about 2 weeks ago to find out what the lump on my left testicle was to see what they were dealing with. My urologist seems to think it could be an inflammatory infection, which was relieving to hear. But about a week ago, my right testicle started hurting, and there is no lump. What's going on? Is it hurting because it's compensating for the possible infection to the left one? Or maybe the infection has spread? The other thing that's going through my head is that if it's cancer, it has spread to the other one.
I'm really starting to get nervous.
Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Brett
Yeah, the doc put me on that and something else. Its been about a week. The lump is still there, but no pain. But now i'm having pain the right one, but no lump.
I'm in the dark.
That's pretty much how my journey started.
My testicle was pretty swollen, and it hurt. They did an ultrasound, and didn't see anything. So, the doctor gave me cipro, and told me to wear a jockstrap, and keep it elevated.
Well, after about a week, it never went down, so they did another ultrasound, and found a mass. I had surgery about a week later to remove it.
I'm not sure both of your testicles have cancer, or they're just infected. The doctor will have to take more steps, to figure this out.
But, don't worry dude, it'll be okay. Right now, you're going through hell, but you'll get through this.
Is it possible that the right one is hurting because it's compensating for the left one? Whatever the case may be?
Hard to tell. I don't think so?
Had second ultra sound yesterday. After a week of anti inflammatory medication, the mass is still the same size. Good news is that the right one checked out okay and there were no tumors found. Not sure what caused the pain in the right one, but its not looking good for lefty. I just hate having to wait until Tuesday to hear the what the urologists wants to do next.
