CT scan and blood work this week...

...and the nerves start jangling a bit. Not as much as in the past, but still.

Last week Luis had a coughing fit - he had something in this throat - and I had a little panic, since coughing was the symptom that set off the whole cancer journey.

It does get easier for me the farther out from treatment we get but it still is stressful. Do others feel this too?

    Take care,
    Heidi

I was trying to look at your dates, will this be your one year all clear? What an exciting milestone!!

We are not post treatment yet but I can see us being the same way. Right now we are like that with any little thing that happens but ours is focused on "sick-like" symptoms or side effects. We hyper focus on everything right now so I can see us just rolling it over to relasp concerns. Keep us posted on results

    Hi heidi

The best of luck with tests. Im sure all will be well. You not alone with the nerves coming up ti check up time. You second guess every cough pain anything that could mean possible relapse. we are over two are half years post treatment and the nerves hit everytime. I think you afraid not to worry incase the worse happens and you not ready for it.

Im sure you will be celebrating when results are in and breathing sigh of relief.

I'm sure everything will turn out fine. My son has taught me to remain positive and not to worry until I have something to worry about. Good luck all the same.

Exactly! I could never put it quite into words but that is exactly right. Plus, I am superstitious - around the time of the appointments when people ask I am always hesitant to gush, "all is terrific, he has never been better, etc..." I am afraid to tempt fate.

    Thank you all!

Tracy, yes he is in town literally for this CT scan and bloodwork. Then he leaves for Spain.

    HI Heidi,

I am very superstitious too and was trying to ignore the fact that John's CT and markers were on Friday the 13th.

Hope nerves not too bad. Keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks! Today is the scan and the bloodwork. Luis leaves on Friday and I wonder if he could convince Madam Oncologist to give him the results? Hard to tell. Otherwise, it is 2 weeks of waiting.
