    Rplnd.....done

    Had my Rplnd this morning at 10..... Finished at 12:45. I chose the epidural and have no regrets. I had pain when I first woke up they made an initial adjustment and I hit the button and have been good since. Was hitting button every 10 mins more out of worry how much it would hurt if I didn't for a few hrs. Since then I had them lower the epidural to a 4 and haven't hit button once. I have been doing breathing and leg exercises no problem. Only issue I have so far is a raised temp 100. SO I am going to start doing breathing exercises more.

    The best news is..... They found nothing during the modified template surgery. Doc said I should be officially put on surveillance once they get pathology to take a really good look at everything. Said he is expecting it all to be fine!! Let's hope. Any questions about RPLnD let me know. Will answer between naps....

    85-95% seminoma, 5-15% EC (avg over two diff path reports) with LVI

    06/18/2012--Pathology report came back---ALL CLEAR!!!
    08/21/2012--All Scans and bloodwork came back clear!!
    11/20/2012--All Scans and bloodwork came back clear!!
    02/19/2013--All Scans and bloodwork came back clear!!

    Will do. Expect more pain tomorrow when I attempt to get up and walk. Also throat is sore but so far so good.

    Rplnd done.... Update.

    Midnight here and started pushing the epidural again. Abs are getting sore now and trying not to let the pain get ahead of me. Tube down nose causeing sore throat. Outside of that not to bad. Will keep u updated.

    Wow, I've never heard of a 2.75 hour RPLND. Seems like twice that is on the fast side, maybe techniques have improved recently?

    Anyway glad to hear you are doing well & hope you continue to recover just as easily.

    I will dOuble check time and get back to you. I Was really groggy when talking to him. Maybe it was 945. Anyway he said before the surgery that if he was just able to stick to the modified template it would be 3 hours.

    Another thing I have been having post surgery is the hiccups which is not pleasant with abdomen surgery.
