update on steve
Hi all
Its been a while since i posted on here. We moved from oz back to ireland to see a tc expert and boy am i glad we did ! There was no hanging about with him and immed he said the rising hcg is relapse. We knew this all along and thats why we needed to move so steve could get started on salvage chemo
Before he began the dr was going to arrange lymph node removal but the hcg went from 200 something to over 400 so he thought chemo first would be the best thing.
The week before he was due to start, the hcg dropped to less than 200. So that gave us a head start. Steve did 4 cycles of tip. During the first cycle which was 5 days on, 2 weeks off , the hcg dropped to below 1 :-) and it has been there ever since. He didnt get any side affects and was able to have a normal life. Thats the thing with steve he never got one side effect. Now he will get a ct scan tomorrow of ab and lungs. We get them results next week. He feels good and cant wait to go to oz again. When we get the results we will see if he neeeds the op. Last time his mass was 2.5 cm in his ab. Will try and update ! Xo
