    Scrotum swelling

    Had I/O 5/7
    RPLND 6/1
    Chylous ascites--current

This morning I woke uo to some noticeable scrotum swelling. No pain really just a little discomfort when sitting straight up. I know this is possible after surgery I just though it would have been closer to the actual surgery. Is this normal or strange? Nurse said she thought it was related to surgery and to put some ice on it but would inform doctor.

    Thanks

    Maybe fluid

    Hey mate
I had a similar experience about a week after my op, I had some fluid build up just below the incision so when I stood up or sit down it would move about a bit between my lower left abdo and scrotum, I wouldn't say it was overly painful just a weird felling. But I did develop the flu about the same time that started and was coughing a fair bit so they think I weakend a stitch or two. It cleared up in about 3 days I think. Still experiencing a little pain below the incision now and again about 5 weeks down the road,

I wasn't the normal situation, but just to let you know the scrotum can handle quite a bit of swelling. I had internal bleeding following my Orch, had to go to the ER that night with near football sized swelling.

After that, my swelling went down pretty rapidly. If it continues to swell, don't hesitate to contact your doctor.

I have pictures... But no one would want to see them!
