Tiny lump on top of testicle

Hi guys, this is my first post although I have been a reader for a long time. Anyway about a week ago I noticed a tiny lump fixed to the top of my right testicle next to the epididymis. It's tiny, about the size of a couple grains of sand. Went to my doc the next day who reasured me everything was fine, I pushed for an ultrasound anyway and hve to wait 2-3 weeks. That not being good enough I paid £350 for a private ultrasound. the radiologist told me I was fine. The tiny lump was just a superficial vein. I still hve the other ultrasound in a few weeks but can't help worrying that they may have missed something on the first one. Any ideas on how accurate an ultrasound is? I can't afford to go private again. Any comments appreciated

An ultrasound is accurate at finding solid masses. You have 2 sources saying you are okay, and soon, you will have 3. You don't have anything to worry about. Lots of men have cysts, lumps, and other bumps that are harmless. There are many threads on this forum describing lumps that turn out to be cysts or veins, so you are not alone.

    Cheers.

I agree with Luc. U/S is very good at detecting problems. You should keep up the self exams (once a month, no more than that is useful), but as of right now you don't have a problem.
