hi my name is andrew,
just lost the left a few days ago and have been for a bunch of test and seeing different doctors to determine the next right thing. I have non-seminoma with three kinds of cancer and no tumor markers showing, the CT scan showed a 1.7 cm node, but they say it's not in the flight path of TC. Many test and appointments.
I'd like to thank everyone who has left infomation for those coming up behind.

Retired moderator. Husband, left I/O 16Dec2005, stage I seminoma with elevated b-HCG, no LVI, RTx15 (25Gy). All clear ever since.

What's going on here? Was there a sale on TC or something. Seems like a lot of new guys all of a sudden. As much as I like to say welcome to new members I wish I never had welcome anyone again.
I didn't mean to go but welcome Andrew. I lost my left one 20 years ago. So let me assure you, you can live just fine without it. There is a wealth of information here as you may have seen but if you have any questions feel free to post away. Good luck.

Welcome Andrew,
We'll be happy to answer questions and give you whatever information you need. On important item - ask for copies of ALL your test results, tumor pathology, tumor markers (even though they're negative) and the radiologist report from the CT scan, sometimes you can even get the actual scan pictures on a CD. It's good to have all this information; if you ever want a 2nd opinion, you're all set to go.

Hey Andrew,
Welcome to the Forum. It's good that you have set the wheels in motion and that you are well on your way to being rid of this beast. I have couple of questions for you. The first is whether you have information on the extent of invasion of the primary tumor (i.e. lymphovascular invasion and other such things). You will find that in your pathology report. The second one is about your CT result. When was that CT taken? If it was taken soon after the I/O, then there is a slight chance that node could be due to the surgery itself, in which case that would be normal.

Co-survivor with husband Boyce, Diagnosed 7-11-06, orchiectomy right testicle on 7-12-06- Stage 3A: Mixed germ cell tumor with inguinal seminomatous and kartotypic carcinoma. One tumor over 10 cm, second tumor 4 cm, Chemo 4xBEP: Bi-lateral RPLND Dec 2006, nerve sparing but left sterile.
